About Our Show
History of the Summer Spectacular
From 1988 thru 2004, the Southern Cruzers Car Club held a Friday Night Cruise and Saturday Car Show at Lakeville's Pan-O-Prog festivities. This became a very successful event, drawing between 500 and 600 cars. The Lakeville organizers informed us that our Cruise and Car Show was drawing over 22,000 spectators, twice the number that attended the Pan-O-Prog Parade on Sunday.We had been hearing from our club members and members from other car clubs, that there was no car show "South of the River" in the Metro area that they would consider a "huge event." Those we spoke with also wanted an event that featured not only cars, but also had food, a swap meet, and commercial vendors.
In 2005 we made the decision to host our own car show that included the items that car enthusiasts we spoke with wanted, and we named it “The Summer Spectacular.” It is because of the participation of our sponsors and you, that the Summer Spectacular has become the popular event that it has.
What differentiates The Summer Spectacular from other car shows?
Our members surveyed attendees at the other car shows to find out what they liked and didn't like about the way other car shows were run.Using this feedback, we tailored our car show to meet the as many of the requests forwarded to us as possible. Some of the items we included are: Get vehicles in quickly. Get the cars in and get them parked, then do the registering Pre-registered cars get a packet at gate. Sign a disclaimer and you're done! Even your door prize ticket has been pre-deposited Keep dust to a minimum In addition to "TOP 20" trophies, there's also 2 Best of Show trophies (voted by participants and spectators) Get trophy presentations started on time Activities other than the car show

Through the generousity of our sponsors and participants, the Southern Cruzers donate all profits from The Summer Spectacular to local charities and scholarships. Since 2005 the Southern Cruzers have donated in excess of $135,000.Car Registration

All profits from The Summer Spectacular are donated to local charities and scholarships. Since 2005, because of the generousity of our sponsors and show participants, the Southern Cruzers have given more than $135,000 to those in need.By becoming a sponsor of the Summer Spectacular, your business name and products are put before the public on both of our websites, SouthernCruzers.com and TheSummerSpectacular.com, as well as any published advertising related to this event.
We offer six levels of sponsorship, providing an affordable sponsorship level for everyone. The Sponsorship Levels form provides an overview of the benefits that comes with each level, including; the amount of space at the Summer Spectacular car show to exhibit your product(s).
Platinum and Gold level sponsors are afforded exclusive representation for their product and brand. As a Platinum and Gold level sponsor, another business who offers the same product and brand cannot also be a sponsor. Competing products and brands are welcome at all sponsorship levels other than Platinum and Gold.
Another method to bring attention to your business, brand and product is via promotional items. We will be happy to work with you to distribute any items that you wish to donate as door prizes and for those that are more costly, raffle items.
